21/1/2004: Timeline Alpha has undergone a major overhaul.
Note: any event occurring at a time after the present must be considered conjectural, since we do not know which future they belong to.
Coming soon: the Timeweb.

The Feltyrion Galaxy uses a form of decimal dating, based around a unit of time called the epoc. Dates are written as, e.g. 6011:000.000.000, which represents the start of epoc 6011, or 1st January 1984 CE. The full definition of the dating system is as follows:
| Unit | Length |
|---|---|
| triad dexter | 1 second |
| triad medius | 1,000 triads dexter (16 minutes 40 seconds) |
| triad sinister | 1,000 triads medii (11 days 13 hours 46 minutes 40 seconds) |
| epoc | 1,000 triads sinister (31 years 252 days 1 hour 46 minutes 40 seconds*) |
This set of pages uses an extended version of this system which allows me to show dates in a much greater range without having to resort to showing negative dates, or ridiculously positive ones. The additions to the dating system are:
| epoc dexter | as standard epoc |
| epoc medius | 10,000 epocs dexter (316,887 years 140.6 days) |
| epoc sinister | 10,000 epocs medii (3,168,873,851 years) |
| cycle | 10,000 epocs sinister (31,688,738,506,811 years) |
The above table assumes 365.2425 days per year. And yes, I know that the numbers are a little "too" big, especially the last one, but maybe the Big Bang theory is wrong :-)
I have decided to colour-code each entry based on the accuracy of the date involved. The colours used are as follows:
| 1 epoc sinister or greater |
| 100 epocs medii to 1 epoc sinister |
| 1 to 100 epocs medii |
| 100 epocs dexter to 1 epoc medius |
| 1 to 100 epocs dexter |
| 1 triad sinister to 1 epoc |
| 50-1000 triads medii |
| 1-50 triads medii |
| 50-1000 triads dexter |
| 1-50 triads dexter |
